Ab Rocket

In my opinion the Ab Rocket represents infomercials at their worst. I can just imagine all the people sitting up late at night shoving food in their mouth and watching this infomercial. The Ab Rocket tells them you too can have abs like this! Who wouldn't be interested?

The Ab Rocket is just the latest version of a long line of infomercial products that basically do the same thing. They mimick the same motion that occurs when someone does sit-ups. Do you recall some of the other products over the years? How about the Ab Doer? What about the Ab Roller? How many can you name?

The Ab Rocket marketing plan takes advantage of a myth that has been perpetuated for years on infomercials. It is the myth that you can create "six pack abs" by exercising the fat off of them! Ridiculous. In reality you already have "six pack abs". They simply can't be seen because they are covered with a layer of fat. If you would lose this belly fat you too could have such wonderful abs. But exercising that part of the human anatomy will do nothing to remove the fat from that region! This is the myth that so many people believe. They actually believe that the way to lose the belly fat is to exercise the belly! Ridiculous!

Lose enough weight and your abs will be fine. But you will probably not lose much weight from doing exercises with the Ab Rocket. Diet and exercising all parts of the body is the best way to lose the weight. So forgo your purchase of the ab rocket. Stop eating so much and start exercising a hell of alot more.

Purchasing the Ab Rocket represents people's ability to deny the truth about themselves. We eat too much and we don't exercise enough! I too am the same way. But I realize what it will take to lose the belly fat. I realize purchasing the Ab Rocket will have little or nothing to do with accomplishing this goal.

Now there are some good reasons to exercise your abdominal muscles. They will help keep your back properly aligned and also can help people with back pain. If this is your rationale for purchasing a product like the Ab Rocket then go for it! But check out all the other generic products that are already in the stores. Walmart sells an ab exercise type machine for less than $30. Furthermore it is quite easy to take back and get a refund if you don't like it.

I'm sorry if I sound condescending regarding the review of this product. But for more than a decade I've watched literally hundreds of millions of dollars wasted on infomercial products like the Ab Rocket. It's time that it stopped.
