Avacor Reviews. Does Avacor Work?
Here we go again with another infomercial that promises you can regrow your lost hair. Remember some of the others? Does the helsinki formula comes to mind?
There is a compound you can rub on your scalp that has been proven to regrow "some" hair in "some people" according to the FDA. Avacor does contain this ingredient. Before you make your purchase of Avacor you should realize they sell the very same formula in any drug store or pharmacy at a fraction of the cost. It's called minoxidil! This is the active ingredient in Avacor as well. A more famous brand name is called Rogaine. Like I said before, you can purchase it at any pharmacy or drug store! Don't buy Rogaine though. Buy the less expensive generic version which also contains the very same ingredient. You can even buy 5% minoxidil at Walmart for about $6 a bottle! It is sold under the brand name "equate". A bottle will last you approximately one month. Women should purchase the women's formula because it contains only 2% minoxidil. The 5% stuff has been shown to be no more effective for women than the 2% stuff. Minoxidil is one of two ingredients proven to grow at least some hair according to the FDA. (The other is a prescription pill known as Propecia. We will discuss this a bit further down the page). Minoxidil is only approved for hair loss at the crown, not for frontal hair loss. It is also not very effective. But if you want to give Avacor a try, simply go to the drug store and get yourself a 3 month supply of the same stuff. This will save you a small fortune and it will work every bit as well as Avacor!
Now if you're interested in a far cheaper and in my opinion better alternative you will have to read a bit more. There are some other simple things you can do to increase your probability of success. I will be as brief as I can but it will take about 5-10 minutes of your time.
