Flex Protex D Reviews (also known as Flex Protect D).

Flex Protex D is a nutrional supplement designed to reduce the inflammation and discomfort of joint pain. The infomercial has been running for quite awhile now and so I figured it was time to start evaluating this product. If you've read some of my other reviews of infomercial products you can tell I'm the type of person who believes that better and more affordable products are readily available. That's because advertising on TV is extremely expensive. Therefore this usually results in the products costing much more than they really should because the maker of the infomercial must recoup all the money spent on this expense. The Flex Protex D infomercial is no different. You must try to keep in mind that no matter how convincing a particular infomercial personality is, no matter how trustworthy they seem, the product will either work or not work based on the ingredients and the quality of the ingredients in the product. I don't have time to complete the review of Flex Protex D this week however if you check back in a few days it should be done.

Let's start by first examining the ingredients in Flex Protex D. The product contains the following:

Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) 15mgs.
Vitamin D3 1,000 I.U.
Magnesium (as magnesium oxide)
Proprietary blend 884mgs
   NAG (N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine)
   Chondrotin Sulfate
   Rice Flour
   Boswella Serrata
   Tumeric Extract
   Ashwagandha
   Yucca (root)
   Bromelain
   Evening Primrose Oil
   Perna Canaliculus (Green Lipped Mussel)
   Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate)

OK let's take a look at these ingredients. Afterall it's going to be the ingredients in the supplement that will make the difference. It's not how excited the infomercial makes you feel about the product!

First take a look at what is in the Proprietary blend. "Proprietary blend" is a legal method by which a company does not need to reveal the exact amount of each of the substances. It's a way of protecting their formula from being copied but often it is a way of hiding how much of the really good stuff there is in the formula. It's often a method by which companies can put very little of the expensive and helpful stuff in the product without you really knowing it. If you notice the totals amount of mgs in the proprietary part of the product totals only 884mgs. That's interesting. Most data indicates you need a dose of 1500mgs per day of glucosamine sulfate and 1200mgs of chondroitin. That's 2700mgs...yet we know from looking at the proprietary ingredients there can be no where near the amount necessary to be helpful for joint and arthritic pain!

Now let's take a look at the very first ingredient....Vitamin C 15mgs. Anyone who knows anything at all about taking vitamin C realizes this dose is an absolute joke! Try finding a Vitamin C supplement anywhere that contains less than 250mgs! 15mgs is such a small dosage it's not even worth putting in the product.
